| This very interesting and throught-provoking book was written, surprisingly NOT by a Mormon, but actually by a "Christian Philanthropist", in 1869. Providing some important historical and scriptural facts, the book seeks to be a good starting point for intellectually honest discussion about the issue of polygamy and monogamy. The additional brief testimony from the organization (TruthBearer.org), which both discovered and now hosts the book online, provides a further interesting historical record per the phenomenon emerging since the 1990s, known as "Christian Polygamy".
